Satya Gowri Theater

If you ask me to name the most memorable place outside the campus, I would say without any hesitaion, "Satya Gowri Theater". I enjoyed my every trip to Satya Gowri. They played Hollywood titles and to my liking, picked decent ones most of the times. Boy, they had the best sound system though the theatre won't look all that fancy from outside. At the theater there was this street show guy doing puzzles with metal rings. I never saw any one solving them (except him). When I went to the show early I used to watch his puzzles. I never paid him though. I certainly would pay now.

It is located at the far end of the Cine Street. Never tired to ride the bike there :-)

  1. I remember one time you, PKP Prasad, Anil Kumar and I planned on meeting at Satya Gowri to see a movie in that theatre ( I forgot what the name of the movie was, Probably Bullet Train). I think Prasad and I left early and waited for you. Then you came after a while to ask us to come to Bhanugudi Junction to pick the lock because Anil Kumar had accidentally locked his bicycle near Bhanugudi (his key was not with him). I think we missed the movie on that day but went next day.

Apart from going to movies, I loved going to the KKD beach. It is a beautiful beach.

  2. So who is the expert in picking the lock. :-)
It was fun going to second show with 3 riding on the same bike, except may be for the guy pedaling.

  3. KK, evidently you have much better long memory than I do. I remember something like that vaguely. Can't fit in Anil Kumar in the picture :-(

My memory is not that good either. I think Venugopal & Gowri Shankar were also with us. For some reason Venugopal got mad at us on that day and stopped talking to both of us for some time. That is why I remember.

I used to be good at picking bicycle locks because my bicycle key never worked during my intermediate years. But on that day I don't remember picking the lock. I think we ended up going to bicycle rental shop to get the key.
